Seminar on “IP and Copyrights“

Unitedworld School of Law and Unitedworld Institute of Design, Karnavati University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat in collaboration with IPPO, Ahmedabad successfully conducted a one-day seminar on “IP and Copyrights” on January 23, 2018, at the University campus in which students from both the participating colleges were enlightened on the subject.
In today’s digital age, one can easily share media widely faster than ever before. As consumers, not only music, films and literature matter, but they also matter enormously to the people created the art itself, indulging their hard work. However, the digital age is not without any challenges, and thus it is one’s own responsibility to protect the Intellectual Property.
The guests for the session were felicitated by Mr Jaideep Banerjee, Head of Operations, Unitedworld Group.
Ms Lisa Macklem, Faculty of Law, University of Western Ontario, enlightened and guided the students with her expertise on the subject from Indian as well as International Perspective.
Mr Jaideep Banerjee had spoken about globalization and startup ecosystem and its impact in modern context. He also expressed his thoughts on the necessity and implementation of IPR in different industries.
